“You love helping people” my husband Alan told me years ago. Those words first inspired a career in physical therapy, and later as a business owner for office furniture. So how does a love for helping people relate to office furniture?
Over 14 years of experience in the office furniture industry have taught me furniture can be a vehicle to bless people. In fact, virtually any business can be a vehicle to help people. From the humble beginnings of an office furniture manufacturing operation to a full service office solutions provider, I’ve learned the secret to success – a heart to serve clients, partners, and vendors.
I’ve learned a lot in this business, some lessons came harder than others. But the most valuable lessons I’ve learned are about people. When you engage with your clients based on their best interests, you earn the business, earn friendships, and truly experience life together. I’ve received support when I’ve had to weather the storms, and I’ve been there to help others. Through networks based on people rather than business, I’ve been blessed to be there for people who have faced somber medical situations in their families, lost their homes in storms, and much more.
