Introducing Billie Bryant Schultz
This month’s Caught in the Act of Kindness (CITAK) recipient is more than a good success story. Billie Bryant Schultz is a significant factor in the success of others. She is the success story behind the success story. She inspires those who inspire us.
Billie’s Story:
“… thank you from the bottom of my heart …” – Emily, served by Billie Bryant
We all love a good success story. We hear of individual and team accomplishments every day. They inspire us, encourage us, and help us have confidence in our own hopes and dreams.
Billie is the highly successful CEO of CESCO. Under her leadership, the CESCO team has become a technology innovator for sales and services for Xerox, Lexmark, HP, Brother, and Epson in printing equipment, Dell and HP in computers, laptops, servers, Quadiant for shipping and mailing equipment along with Rubrik Cloud Data Protection and Management Services. In addition to running her business, she has been central to a variety of initiatives serving her industry, community, and women.
Not content with just helping thousands in her industry, Billie was on the formation Board of the North Texas Women’s Business Council (NTWBC) then two years later the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) where she served on the Board of Directors for 10 years. She is Chair Emeritus of the WBENC WBE Forum where she continues to serve. Early on at NTWBC and WBENC, during her tenure, set and maintain standards and procedures for the Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification process – still in place today.
There’s more. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Business Council Southwest, formerly the NTWBC, the American Institute of Diversity & Commerce (AIDC) Board, where she was honored in 2009 with the inaugural induction into the Women’s Business Enterprise Hall of Fame. Billie also serves on the Board of Directors for the Go for the Greens Foundation where she has served to implement and deliver their Mentoring Program for young ladies 15 to 21. At the GFTG Conference in 2019, she was honored with the Mary Schnack Award for her community work with the Mentoring Program.
Several years ago, Emily was a recipient of Billie’s mentoring program. Now, Emily is a Sophomore at MIT, majoring in Computer Science. As a freshman, she is VP of Operations for the Student Alumni Association. She is the lead software developer for a Femtech (female technology) startup, creating solutions to empower women in healthcare and simultaneously help people who are underserved.
Emily’s Words to Billie:
“I really need to thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing me into the Enterprising Women’s community. I genuinely learned so much and felt so much more empowered after the entire conference and mentorship experience.”
Countless thousands of lives have been touched by Billie Bryant. She has the true heart of a servant and she leaves a trail of love and kindness wherever she goes. Her heart for service not only makes a difference in the lives she touches, but the ripple effect continues to grow. Emily hosted a couple of “hackathons” to inspire and motivate high school students to create products for a possible venture launch. She organized an All-Girls Tech Convention, bringing hundreds of girls, from all over Texas, introducing them to technology. Emily continues to serve at MIT.
Billie Bryant Schultz has been Caught in the Act of Kindness. Her selfless actions will continue to spread kindness for years to come. Congratulations Billie, we are proud to call you a Mentor and a Friend at B&H Office Solutions.
Sincerely,
